Why La Rose Noire is Special
The “True Love” Paint: The exterior is coated in a one-of-a-kind red-to-black hue that took more than 150 iterations to get right. It resembles the velvet-like petals of the Black Baccara rose.
The Woodwork: The “parquetry” of the interior is the most intricate ever accomplished by Rolls-Royce. This “falling petal” effect took 1,603 triangles of Black Sycamore wood placed by hand over nine months.

Why the Arcadia order is costlier: The Santos Straight Grain rosewood they use will be covered in fewer pieces of wood, but its quite fragile. It toos easily during machining, so Rolls-Royce had to create a custom lacquer that protects it for the length of the car’s lifetime. 8,000 hours of woodwork represents almost a full year worth of continuous work.
