The pass cannot be used on any routes managed directly by the State, and for these the tolls will be deducted from your normal FASTag account balance.
NHAI (National Highways Authority Of India) launched a national-level prepaid toll programme — FASTag Annual Pass, in August 2023 for private non – commercial vehicle owners.
Applicable Expressways & Roads
The pass is valid at around 1,150+ toll plazas in India and is eligible for NHAI (National Highways Authority of India)-managed tolls. This includes:
National Expressways (NE): Like the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (NE4), Dwarka Expressway, and other NE identified roads maintained through NHAI.
National Highways (NH): Routes and connections on large scale across the nation (example- NH-48, NH-44).
Note:- Pass is NOT valid on state-controlled Expressways/ Highways (For example, Yamuna Expressway, Mumbai-Pune Expressway, or state-operated SH routes). These roads will have your FASTag acting like a simple tag, where a charge per trip or per axle will be subtracted from your wallet balance.
Important Highlights of the Annual Pass (FY 2026-27)
Annual Pass or Monthly Local Pass
Annual Pass: Suitable for long-distance travelers or “road trippers” that covers more than 1,150 plazas nationwide.
Local Monthly Pass: Approximately ₹340/month, this one is efficient if you visit just one specific toll plaza or so which is near your home (in a radius of 20km).
Pro tip: You will receive an Annual Pass upon paying for your monthly pass, and the system is set up so that crossings at plazas where you have an active local monthly pass does not count toward your 200-trip allowance.
Key Details of the Annual Pass (FY 2026-27)
| Feature | Details |
| Price | ₹3,075 (Revised as of April 1, 2026) |
| Validity | 1 Year or 200 Trips, whichever occurs first. |
| Vehicle Type | Private/Non-commercial only (Cars, Jeeps, Vans). |
| Trips Definition | 1 crossing = 1 trip. In “Closed Toll” systems (like the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway), one entry-exit pair counts as 1 trip. |
| How to Buy | Only via the Rajmarg Yatra App or the official NHAI portal. |
Annual Pass vs. Local Monthly Pass
Annual Pass: Ideal for long-haul players and “road trippers” including access at more than 1,150 plazas throughout the country
Local Monthly Pass: Available at a cost of ₹340/month or so, local monthly pass is value for money only if you use this toll plaza frequently (for max 20km from your home).
Pro Tip: Since you already have a local monthly pass for that specific plaza, the system is designed such that crossings at this specific plaza will not count towards your 200 trip Annual Pass limit.
A full list of all 1,150+ individual plazas is too long for one message, but the NHAI gives access to this list in real-time via its official channels. You can use these resources to verify the eligibility of a specific plaza:
How to Access the Full List
Rajmarg Yatra App: This is the main tool of Annual Pass. After you sign-in, click on ‘Annual Pass’ and after that click on ‘Eligible Toll Plazas’. Offers a searchable map and list
Toll Information System – NHAI (NHAI TIS) : This link takes you to the official NHAI Toll portal where one can view all National Highway plazas.
Rajmarg Yatra Web Portal: You can directly go to the Annual Pass page & check out the list of fee plazas covered before buying it.
General Rule for Inclusion
If a plaza is of coverage when you are making a route, they say who it manages:
APPLICABLE: Any plaza at NH or NE managed directly by NHAI and/ or its authorized concessionaires.
EXCLUSIONS: Plazas on State Highways (SH), or expressways operated by state agencies (such as UPEIDA for the Agra-Lucknow Expressway or MSRDC for the Mumbai-Pune Expressway).

Plaza Specific Quick Check List
How to Check whether the specific plaza on your way is included — Look for these signals:
Signage: NHAI has made it mandatory for all participating plazas (1,150+) to display boards mentioning “Annual Pass Facility Available” at entry and customer service points in the plaza.
Note : Very few plazas are missing because they were listed as National Highway – Public Funded class or National Highway – Concessionaire on NHAI TIS website.
Important For NCR Users: Since you live in and around the National Capital Region, please remember that while both Delhi-Meerut Expressway plus Dwarka Expressway are included, Yamuna Expressway (and passage to Agra) is controlled by YEIDA and isn’t a piece of the Annual Pass program.
