Upcoming Tallest Building in the World : The Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia will become the tallest building in the world in the future with the aim of going over 1,000 meters (1 km) in height being constructed again in early 2025 and expected to be complete around 2028. The centerpiece of this Jeddah Economic City will replace the Burj Khalifa which is 828 meters.

Futuristic Tallest Building Constructions:
Jeddah Tower (Saudi Arabia): Intended to become the first building of 1 kilometer high (more than 1,000 meters).
Construction resumed in 2025 following a long pause and about 80 storeys had been finished by the end of 2025.
Rise Tower (Saudi Arabia): is a Jovial tower project of 2 kilometers that will be erected in line with the vision 2030 projects.
Sky Mile Tower (Tokyo): A proposed, conceptual tower that is a mile tall.
Burj Mubarak al-Kabir (Kuwait): This is a proposed 1,001-meter-tall structure, which was to be a part of the Vision 2035 development strategy.

Oblisco Capitale (1,000m): Suggested as the new administrative capital of Egypt.
Dubai City Tower (2,400m): It is a very conceptual proposal.
Note: Building of ultra-tall buildings may be plagued by massive delays, such as the one experienced with the Jeddah Tower in its early construction in 2018.

The Future Titan: Jeddah Tower The Jeddah Tower (previously Kingdom Tower) in Saudi Arabia is the leading competitor that will overthrow the Burj Khalifa.
Target Height: It reached a height of at least 1,008 meters (3,307 ft) and was the first man-made building to pass the 1-kilometer mark. Status As of March 2026 Construction resumed with a flourish in early 2025, following a multi-year hiatus.
By mid March 2026, the tower had passed the 94th floor. Speed of Construction: The speed is truly blistering as some 1 new floor is being added every 3-4 days.
